Classes this Week

We start classes this week on Tuesday with Soup from Scratch. Baby its cold outside lets make soup! This is a series of 6 classes…you can take one or all 6…from chicken soup to butternut squash to seafood chowder…we’ll teach you all the basics of making soups, chowders, and stews. Yummy!

Then on Wednesday it’s Superfood, Superfast, Supereasy, in this class you will prepare a home cooked meal that is super good for you…made w/ super foods…super fast & super easy? Menu:  beautiful salmon filet with braised kale and sweet potatoes… ready in in 15 minutes? Students will prep, cook and sit down to enjoy this meal!

Also on Wednesday Get started with Knife Skills 1 where you will learn the most basic and important culinary skill: how to peel, chop, pare and cut like a pro.

Then on Thursday, we offer Pastabilities our from scratch pasta class that includes a from scratch marinara sauce, too! Learn how to make homemade ravioli stuffed with goat cheese and a vegetarian sauce. Bring your own wine to enjoy!

TGIF for all of us but we are back to cooking on Saturday. Starting the New Year off right with our Basic Nutrition class the third in the 6 weeks series.  This week we will focus on the most asked for topic, eating a healthy balanced breakfast! We will be preparing a hot beverage, a smoothie, delicious low fat buckwheat pancakes with blueberry compote and an egg white omelet!

And to wrap up the week on Sunday, Chef Hopeton continues his Culinary Arts and Excellence series where you will learn 5 essential cooking skills while preparing a meal to eat and enjoy with the class. This week’s menu is: Swordfish picata with Broccoli n goat cheese, Chicken, carrot, Kale soup and Orange/Almond compote (a la minute) over Jakes ice cream
