About Chef Holly:
Holly could not escape the rich and varied foodstuffs, while growing up in Savannah- whose parents and foodie friends came to play and create in her family kitchen- Stratton Leopold; Leopold’s Ice Cream, Savannah, Herb Traub; The Pirates House, Savannah and were regular guests in the private home of John and Lancy Wu; The Canton.

When working for a food broker in Atlanta, Holly became involved with the American Culinary Federation as the Salon Registrar and contributing photographer for the newsletter, during which time she had several opportunities to meet award winning chefs at many of the Southeastern Culinary Conventions.

Martin Yan (“If Yan Can Cook, So Can You”, PBS), was the most approachable and humble chef, who stands out and inspired her to learn about Indian and Asian cooking.

Holly has written for Flavors Magazine, Savannah Magazine and has written dining reviews for
The Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

Her passions are traveling, photography, cooking, and keeping up with her grown children’s explorations.
She has two cats, and a puppy. Married and lives in Decatur, Ga.

Got Soul” is about food that is from Chef Jamia’s home as a child that her mother and grandmothers made and it is a wonderful demonstration of the food that her ancestors cooked, as well.

The regular menu consist of:
Momma’s Fried Chicken
Ms. Ann’s Macaroni and Cheese
Sautéed Collard Greens
& either Sweet Potato Pie or Fried Green Tomatoes
(based on the season).

Got Soul’ is a way of cooking that comes from the heart”, Chef Jamia says. “Feeding people is my way of loving them and making sure their body is fed as well as their spirit!”

Description: This is a parent and child class. It’s the mother and child/father and child reunion in the kitchen! Make your kids an asset in the kitchen. During Play With Your Food classes, parents join their children as they may learn how to make pasta or soup from scratch, bake bread, scramble eggs, mac and cheese and make crazy grilled cheese sandwiches. Each class is different and so far every kid has begged for more.

Kids age 8 and up, must be accompanied by parent.
